Nikita Petrovich Fomin (b. 1949)
Nikita Petrovich Fomin was born in 1949, the son of the well-known landscape painter and Academician Pyotr Fomin. After completing Middle Art School, he studied at the Repin Institute and graduated in 1973, later completing Academician Andrei Mylnikov’s mural painting studio in 1978.
Fomin became a member of the Russian Artists’ Union in 1975 and has served on several union councils. He has received the Laureate Government Prize of Russia and is an Honored Artist of Russia and a Russian State Prize winner.
He has participated in more than 100 St. Petersburg, All-Russian, and international exhibitions. His works are held by museums in St. Petersburg and Moscow and by public and private collections in Europe and the United States.
